Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely credited with beginning the current scientific study of children's eyewitness memory and child victims as witnesses in the legal realm. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer she has received grants from numerous sources and received many international and national honors. She has worked with numerous government agencies and governments across the world on policies and studies on children who are victims of the justice system. She works as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is also a founding part of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. The American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division as well as Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
